What you need to know about renting a stroller in Disney World

What You Need to Know About Renting a Stroller in Disney World

Traveling with a stroller can be a headache. Trying to fit it in your car with all your luggage or getting through airport security with one can become a nightmare. Luckily, Disney offers options for people who would rather rent a stroller once they have arrived at Disney World. Wether you need a single, double, or even a special needs stroller, Disney and their Featured Stroller Providers have you covered!

Renting a stroller at a Disney Park:

Disney offers single or double strollers with rent by the day or Length of Stay options.
Single- $15 per day
or $13 per day with prepaid Length of Stay

Double- $31 per day
or $27 per day with prepaid Length of Stay

If saving money by pre-paying for the number of days with Length of Stay Rental, all you need to do is present your receipt upon returning to a theme park to receive your stroller.

Park hoping? Not a problem! Save your receipt and show them at the next theme park to be given another stroller. It's actually a good idea to keep your receipt for the entire duration of your stay. If you misplace your stroller, you are entitled to a replacement as long as you have your receipt.

Prefer a more traditional style stroller? Disney works with three other companies as their Featured Stroller Providers. A great benefit about these companies is they deliver a stroller right to your resort so it's waiting for you when you arrive- FREE of charge!

Stroller Tips:

-When in the parks, make sure to park your stroller at the designated stroller parking areas. These areas are set up for the safety and convenience of the guests.

-Don't be alarmed if your stroller has been moved. Disney Team Members will move your stroller in order to accommodate more strollers in that area. Your stroller will still be in the same stroller parking area, just moved to a different spot.

-Know your stroller. Tie a ribbon around the handle or add another type of flare to it in order to recognize yours out of the sea of strollers. Even with the "license plate" with your name on it, you will be surprised how many of the same strollers there are.

-Don't leave valuable belongings in the stroller. No one is there to watch your stroller if you all go on a ride. Don't leave your camera or bags of memorabilia you just bought in your stroller. All Disney bags look the same.

- Cover your stroller. Since it is known to rain periodically throughout the day make sure to cover your stroller while it's parked. Make sure to add the complimentary rain cover if you're renting from one of the above companies. No child wants soggy shorts when they go to sit in the stroller.

-Be prepared to fold it up. When traveling on the Disney Buses, you are required to collapse all strollers before entering the bus. It also must stay collapsed during the entire duration of the ride. Make sure to practice folding and opening the stroller to become comfortable with it.
